Cookie policy
Updated 27 October 2026
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a file or an identifier stored or read on a user’s device when visiting a website. Other technologies, such as the browser’s local storage, can serve similar purposes and are also covered by the rules on trackers.
2. Why do we use cookies?
Cookies and trackers fall into several categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies: essential for the site to work, for security, or to provide a service the user asked for.
- Preference cookies: remember some of the user’s choices.
- Audience measurement cookies: analyse visits and use of the site.
- Third-party service cookies: may be used by external services embedded in the site.
- Advertising cookies: measure or personalise advertising campaigns.
The Fornax Props site only uses strictly necessary cookies and preference cookies. No audience measurement, third-party service or advertising cookie is used. Categories not used on the site are not enabled.
3. Consent
Cookies strictly necessary for the site to work, and those that remember a user’s choice, may be used without prior consent when the legal conditions are met. That is the case for every cookie on this site, so no consent banner is shown.
If cookies requiring consent were added, the user could accept or refuse them, one as easily as the other. Simply continuing to browse would not count as consent.
4. Managing preferences
As no cookie requiring consent is used, there is no preference to set on the site.
If a consent management tool is introduced, it will be available at any time through the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page, to accept, refuse or change a choice.
5. Cookies used on the site
| Cookie or tracker name | Provider | Purpose | Retention | Consent required |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| fp.locale | Fornax Props | Remember the language chosen | 1 year | No |
| fp_session (__Host-fp_session over HTTPS) | Fornax Props | Keep the admin area signed in | 30 days | No |
| fp_login | Fornax Props | Secure the sign-in by e-mailed code | 1 hour | No |
| theme (local storage) | Fornax Props | Remember the light or dark theme | Until the user clears it | No |
| fp.offerStrip.dismissed (local storage) | Fornax Props | Remember a closed announcement | Until the user clears it | No |
6. Third-party services
No third-party service setting cookies or trackers is embedded in the site. If such a service were added and required consent, it would not be enabled before that consent had been validly obtained.
7. How long choices are kept
No consent choice is currently asked for. If a consent tool is introduced, the choice will be kept for 6 months at most, after which the user will be asked again.
8. How to disable cookies
Users can delete or block cookies in their browser settings.
Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect some features: the language goes back to the default and the admin sign-in does not work.
9. Updates to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect technical changes, embedded services and the applicable regulations.
The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
